Hi Mandy - you both did a brilliant job today - speaking out so honestly and highlighting that the statistics of domestic violence are just the tip of the ice-burg because of the fear, the control.
I use theatre to raise awareness of domestic violence and the impact on women and children to combat that fear - as well as to challenge attitudes that stop us, as women, seeking help (victim-blaming e.g. why doesn't she just leave? attitudes)In particular the impact of emotional and psychological abuse whch I think many people don't fully understand. I'm planning an event - 'arts against abuse' for later this year aswell. Would love to invite you to a performance - do get in touch if you'd like to get involved or have any questions. Very best wishes to you and Jahmene - keep up the good work! I'm @ccheatreco on twitter

He did it again, I will never be free. I may be divorced but he will never leave me alone. I just want a life that's all. I have lost everything, it was an arranged marriage and my whole family have disowned me. There is no one who can help now. Am so scared. It was just a rape and a few broken bones but what about next time. I don't know how many more times I can move.

Be strong and don't go back. You are better than him. I know who you are and I don't want to spend another night in hospital with you the next time this happens. I love you and care so much about you. Please have faith you will get through this and I'm not going anyway no matter how many times you push me away. Love Sarah. Xx you say that Mandy and jahmenes story give you hope and inspire you, why let it get too much now. You are so close to having the freedom you crave, don't lose sight of the goal.
